The Uses of FSDus

As part of every marketer's arsenal should be the option of using free standing display units to showcase a product or service they are promoting and trying to sell to the consumer market. Fsdus are typically cardboard stands which are placed at the entrance of supermarkets or at the checkout aisles when people are shopping, in order to show off a new product or a new line that a company is promoting to the general public. The fsdu is going to come in a wide variety of options, colours and designs, sizes, shapes, and different material options (although cardboard is the most common), in order to draw the consumers' attention to the products.

Many consumers will notice the free standing display units as they are shopping in stores. So, whether it is a band that has released a new CD, and wants to showcase it in a music store, or whether it is a new potato chip product being offered by one of the brand leaders, the use of fsdus to show off these new products, and to get the consumer to notice them, is a simple solution, and an extremely cheap marketing solution, which is going to get the job done. Due to the size and magnitude of the displays, and due to the fact that the fsdu is generally put in an area of the store that is easily noticeable (for example, new potato chips will be placed next to the dip aisle, or a new pizza will be placed in the front of the frozen foods section in the grocery store), consumers are bound to notice the product, and are going to be drawn to it.

The use of free standing display units is a great option for the business that wants to save on cost of marketing, yet get the most out of the unit. Due to the fact that they are so prominent, and that consumers are going to notice the units, it is very cheap for a business owner, as they are not going to have to pay for any additional forms of marketing to get the product across to the consumer. By simply choosing an fsdu that is large and noticeable, and by choosing the right location to place the fsdus in any retail outlet, the business owner, or the brand manager for a particular product is going to see the results they are hoping for with very little effort on their behalf, other than by simply setting up the display unit.

No matter what the product is, from a new shampoo, to a new beer flavour being offered, the use of free standing display units is the ideal option to show these products off, get consumers to notice them, and spend as little as possible on marketing. Due to the fact that the
FSDUs speak for themselves, and as they are so prominent, consumers are going to notice them, and will instantly be drawn to a product in a store, whether or not they need the product.

How are FSDUs Used in Store to Promote Items?

Whether it is a grocery store, an electronic retailer, or any other local retailers, you will find many FSDU / FSDUs (free standing display units), are being used in stores, in order to put products out to display to the consumer market. Whether they want to place new product lines, a new designer brand name that is coming out for sale, or whether the stores are trying to promote and sell a particular product for lower or discount prices, the use of FSDU / FSDUs in stores is a great way to highlight those products, and to get consumers to notice them.

No matter what type of retailer it is, or what products they are trying to sell, these free standing display units are a great way to get the products noticed, to draw attention to them, and to get consumers to notice what is being sold. By placing the FSDU / FSDUs outside the main entrance of the stores, placing them near the aisles where the product is located, or by placing them near the checkout lans, right before consumers pay for the products that they are going to purchase, the use of the FSDU / FSDUs is the perfect option to show off and highlight certain products that a retailer is trying to promote.

The use of FSDU / FSDUs can also be used at a book store, if there are new releases, or if there is some type of book signing taking place. This will give those who are in the book store the opportunity to buy the book for a lower rate, or it will allow them the opportunity to see the new releases, or find a book they are looking to find, right when they walk in to the book store. They can promote sales, increase the number of books sold, and help get a particular book off the shelves if this is the purpose of promoting a particular book in the stores.

There are various reasons why retailers would want to use FSDU / FSDUs in order to promote a particular product or brand name; and, there are many types of retailers that would choose to use these display units, in order to get products noticed, and to have consumers see them as they walk in to the store, or as they are getting ready to pay and check out. Wherever they are placed, and whatever is placed in the FSDU / FSDUs in a store, is bound to get noticed by those who are shopping in the store. Additionally, if there are various FSDU / FSDUs located and spread out around the entire store, this is going to draw in the consumers' attention even more than if there is only one display unit located in the stores.

So, when setting up for a sale, or trying to promote the sale of a particular product in your stores, the use of FSDU / FSDUs to promote and display those products a retailer is trying to sell, is a great option to get consumers to notice those products.

An FSDU Can Help Your Marketing Efforts

When someone walks into a shop (be it a small, privately owned boutique or even a large branch of a nationwide supermarket), one of the first things they notice is if there is a bold, large display unit which could boast an eye catching design in bright colours which assists in the promotion of a certain product or range of products. There are many forms of display units which are both cheap for shopkeepers and managers to purchase and yet are very effective in advertising certain goods, potentially increasing the revenue received by the shop owners and managers.

In these austere times in which customers and businesses are both affected by the necessity of cost cutting and limiting expenditure, it can prove extremely difficult for businesses and firms to set aside enough revenue for advertising so as to attract the attention of customers who intend to cut their spending. Free Standing Display Units (FSDUs) are an extremely successful way to advertise which can potentially result in an increase in sale despite the harshest possible economic circumstances as they are a means of drawing the customers’ attentions to the product whilst being very cost-effective.

As the name suggests, Free Standing Display Units are free standing structures on which examples of certain products can be clearly displayed. Such units are typically seen either in the entrances to shops or on the counters where customers pay for their items as these two spots are the optimum locations where the highest number of customers is bound to see them. It is almost certain that these displays will draw the attention of many potential customers to the product they are advertising, especially if they boast an eye catching design in several bright colours.

FreeStanding Display Units can be constructed so as to be part of either a temporary (therefore short term) display unit but they can also be made to be more substantial as part of an advertising programme in the long term. The designers of such display units employ techniques which follow and reflect the changing tastes and trends, resulting in the design of a Free Standing Display Unit mirroring the favoured style of the time. However, regardless of the design, the main focus of the creation process of the Free Standing Display Units is for the easy assembly and construction. The success of this tried and tested means of advertising is shown by the fact that large brands use such display units to promote their products.

FSDU and FSDUs

Free standing display units, or FSDUs, are typically used in retail as display points for information. Unlike the shelves of a shop they are free standing, so the content of the FSDU display is separate from the other products. They can hold leaflets and newspapers, or act as a promotional stand for products within the shop, thus making them really quite essential in retail. FDSUs have become increasingly popular and do effectively make the layout of a shop more interesting. In addition, marketing campaigns regularly capitalise on using a variety of means to promote brands, and installing a freestanding display unit is one of the most direct ways to make specific products stand out in a shop.
Companies that manufacture and sell FDSUs in the UK also pride themselves on their design teams. It is essential for the designs to be creative and fresh, thereby meeting the demands of potential clients from big brand names. They use a wide range of materials which effectively help the free standing display unit make a great visual impression, but also to determine whether the unit will be permanent or just semi-permanent in the store. They can use anything from cardboard, plastic or wood, depending on how long the client want the free standing display unit to last.  In order to keep costs down in transit and installation, the manufacturing company can design flat-pack versions of the FSDU, or part assembly units in order to control the cost of shipping.
The clients of companies that design and manufacture free standing display units usually get in contact with the manufacturer with a design brief via telephone or email. These are typically available from the manufacturer’s website alongside examples of prototype display units they have previously made.
